CLASSES

Classes started on July 30 at Focus on the Figure Art School. There is interest in painting as well as drawing classes. I am teaching a drawing and a painting student. This week August 6 we will be drawing from a model, focusing on proportions, value, foreshortening. We will also explore gesture drawing at the beginning of the class.

I went to purchase my own art materials at Island Blue Print, Opus and Herald Stree Art World today and see that there are sales with very good deals at all these places.

Tuition (does not include art supplies):
· $120 for each session
Basic drawing supplies:
- graphite pencils HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B- kneaded eraser
- pencil sharpener - compressed charcoal
- conte (white, black and brown/red)
- pastels primary colors, black, white and brown

- willow stick charcoal

- drawing board and two clips for holding paper to drawing board,

or large- sketchbook 8" x10" or larger

-18"x24" drawing paper

-grey, black or color paper (for pastel)

-newsprint sketch book or sheets (about 20 sheets)

Art supplies can be bought at any Art store in town.
